Austerity and health – costing lives?

RCPlogologo3_alpha

Free seminars to develop global health advocates

Drawing on RCP expertise, the seminars will equip delegates with the knowledge and tools to:

  • understand the policy-making process, and how to advocate for global health within it
  • recognise the role that stakeholders play in these policy decisions and how to engage with them
  • assess their own learning and curricula on global health topics and how they can be improved
  • recognise the skills that are required to work in a global healthcare environment.
On Thursday 4th July is the second in our new series on the topic of “Austerity and health – costing lives?”.
This seminar will consider potential adverse effects on population health of austerity measures and will provide potential advocates with insight into the different arguments surrounding this issue and give guidance on how to influence decision-makers.
  • Chair: Dr Aaron Reeves, Research Associate, Department of Sociology, University of Cambridge
