12 months ‘Out of Programme Experience’

Working for Dr Andrew Frankel, Postgraduate Medical Dean for Health Education South London (HESL), you will initiate and lead a range of change management projects relating to medical education with specific emphasis on quality and safety improvement, interprofessional learning and clinical leadership.
This open to doctors in Postgraduate Speciality or GP Training in a London training programme, giving an opportunity to spend a year ‘out of programme’ and contribute to developments in postgraduate medical education in London. The successful applicant will be part of a network of Medical Fellows in South London and within neighbouring LETBs. They will undertake a strategic development project and make a significant contribution to the success of Health Education South London. As an integral part of the post, they will be funded to take part in a development programme resulting in a postgraduate certificate and will also be encouraged to maintain a clinical commitment of no more than three sessions per week.
