In rural Nicaragua, Dulce Maria and her brother Francisco are deaf adults without any language spoken, written or signed until Tomasa, a deaf sign-language teacher, arrives determined to teach them their first words.
A fully interpreted panel discussion with the director, Adam Isenberg, will follow the screening to explore the complexity of issues surrounding access to essential services in this setting.
