Non communicable diseases are the world’s biggest killers, affecting not only the rich West, but also the poorest and most marginalized communities. Yet, most NCDs are preventable. Are we doing enough to tackle them, and where do answers lie? This panel discussion will focus on workable solutions: from global funders, national laws, individual behaviour change, and the world of business.
Speakers confirmed:
Professor Sir Michael Marmot, UCL; Dr Allan Pamba, Director Public Engagement and Access Initiatives, GlaxoSmithKline;
Celina Gorre, Executive Director, Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases; Professor Robert West, UCL; and Professor Neil Pearce, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
